Bio

Kate Harmon is a visual artist based at Holsum Studios in Kansas City, Missouri. She earned her BFA in Painting from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2023. Using house paint, ink, and graphite—materials chosen for their accessibility and directness—she builds imagery that hovers between abstraction and clear observation. Her practice is grounded in a sensitivity to surface and contrast, allowing her to navigate the boundaries between gesture, texture, and form. Her work has been exhibited at Vulpes Bastille, Lester Goldman Gallery, and the Emily and Todd Voth Art Space.
